The Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) and Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) of the People's Republic of China successfully co-organized the "2026 China-Mongolia Innovation and Development Forum" at MUST on July 4, 2026.

The forum's primary objective is to establish an international joint laboratory for cross-border transportation and smart equipment between the two countries, and to deepen scientific and technological cooperation.

Within the framework of the forum, an agreement to implement a "2+2" joint bachelor's program in "Electronics Engineering" at the School of Information and Communication Technology (SICT), MUST, was finalized. The agreement was signed by L. Bayar-Erdene, Director of SICT, and Wang Hesheng, Dean of the Global College of SJTU. This opens up new opportunities for SICT to implement joint academic programs with a world-leading university (ranked 40th globally in 2026), promote student exchanges, conduct joint research, and train highly skilled professionals who meet international standards.
